We believe in working in partnership with parents to assist their children to explore the world around them and develop their potential as individuals. In order to achieve this each child will be allocated a key worker who will support all your child’s needs and give you regular feed back on their progress.
The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
At Little Bears Day Nursery all the children learn within the EYFS framework.
The EYFS is a framework, which provides the guidance for and legal requirements of all Early Years workers, when supporting learning and development of children in their care.
The EYFS became statutory for all Early Years settings, Reception classes and Nurseries from September 2008. This framework replaces the Birth To Three Matters, Foundation Stage and the National Standards.
The framework describes the stages of Development of all the children in our care from Birth- Five years (at the end of their Reception year at school).
It is implemented to ensure we keep all the children in our care safe and well cared for, in order for them to enjoy and achieve to their full potential with us at Little Bears.
When your child starts at Little Bears you will be provided with all the information you need.
